Was at an SCA event yesterday. I did blacksmithing for most of the day. Some of the day I spent working on the welds for the clock posts. Doing much better on the welds so my confidence is much higher now. Going to probably not have a chance to work for a few days.
I have been blacksmithing for only about a year now. I've learned a lot. Have much more to learn. I find that I learn better when I'm trying to work on a large scale project. When I need to learn something for that large scale project, I find a small project that requires the same skill. I do that small project a bunch of times then go back to the big project. Sounds wacky but works for me.
